Muasya Joins Kitui Leaders to Mark International Women’s Day in Kitui West

Ben Muasya on Monday joined county and national government leaders in commemorating International Women’s Day at Nyuani Primary School, where he delivered a strong message on the importance of empowering women for sustainable development.

Addressing residents in Kitui West, Muasya praised women for their resilience and immense contribution to economic and social growth in communities. He emphasized that empowering women remains a key pillar in achieving inclusive development both at the county and national levels.

Muasya noted that women continue to play a critical role in strengthening families, businesses, and community initiatives, urging leaders and communities to support programs that expand opportunities for women and girls.

The celebrations were also attended by kitui governor Dr Julius Malombe and kitui county commissioner Erustus Mbui, among other leaders and residents who gathered to mark the global day dedicated to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The event brought together women groups, youth representatives, and residents to celebrate the achievements of women while reflecting on the continued need to promote equality and leadership opportunities for women at the grassroots level.
