Akamba FM’s ‘Mwana ni Mwana’ Program Brings Hope to Needy Children

A humanitarian initiative spearheaded by Akamba FM continues to transform the lives of vulnerable children across the region through its impactful program dubbed “Mwana ni Mwana.”

The program focuses on supporting needy children and orphans through community-driven support from well-wishers and partners who donate essential items to improve the lives of vulnerable young people.

During a recent outreach in Mutomo, the team distributed assistive devices including wheelchairs and walking sticks to children living with disabilities. The donations are expected to greatly improve mobility and give hope to families caring for children with special needs.

The initiative also extended its humanitarian activities to Mulango Children’s Home, where children received food supplies and clothing from the visiting team. The visit brought smiles and renewed hope to the children and caregivers at the home.

Among those who supported the visit to the children’s home were Joshua Kimilu, a key supporter of the program, alongside representatives from Parkside Villa, Nicholas Mulila of Safaricom, and Irene Kasalu, among other well-wishers who came together to support the children.

Organizers of the “Mwana ni Mwana” program noted that the initiative thrives through the generosity of sponsors and community partners who believe in giving every child a chance at a better life.

Through continued partnerships and goodwill, the Akamba FM program is steadily expanding its reach, touching the lives of vulnerable children and reminding communities of the importance of compassion, unity, and collective responsibility in caring for those in need.
