Kitui County Woman Representative hopeful Hon. Fridah Makasi continued to deepen her connection with residents through a series of community engagements across the county, reaffirming her commitment to servant leadership, compassion, and grassroots development.
Makasi joined family, friends, and leaders in celebrating the traditional wedding of her longtime friend, Faith Syombua, an event attended by Kitui Woman Representative Dr. Irene Kasalu, Kalamba Ward MCA Musau, former MCA Mwathi Katheke, and community leader Sammy Mutea.
She congratulated the newlyweds and emphasized the importance of preserving cultural values while promoting unity among communities.
Later, Makasi visited Township Ward in Kitui Central Constituency to condole with the family of the late John Wambua, who tragically lost his life in a road accident. She conveyed her heartfelt sympathies, prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family, and urged motorists and pedestrians to observe road safety to help prevent similar tragedies.
The Woman Representative hopeful also held grassroots engagements with residents in Kitui East, where she listened to their concerns and discussed key issues affecting the region, including access to quality healthcare, education, women and youth empowerment, water, and infrastructure development. She assured residents that inclusive leadership begins by listening to the people and working together to find lasting solutions.
Residents who interacted with Makasi praised her accessibility, humility, and consistent presence among the people, expressing confidence in her vision for a more inclusive and empowered Kitui County.
Through the day’s engagements, Hon. Fridah Makasi reaffirmed that her leadership journey is anchored on service, compassion, and meaningful engagement with the people at the grassroots.
