Commissioner Ben Muasya Assures Mwingi Residents Enziu Bridge Will Be Completed Within Two Months as UDA Leaders Rally Behind Development

Commissioner at the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA), Ben Muasya, has assured residents of Mwingi Central and the larger Kitui County that the long-awaited Enziu Bridge will be completed within the next two months, describing the project as a major milestone in improving transport and enhancing economic activities in the region.

Speaking during a UDA empowerment tour in Mwingi, Muasya joined fellow party leaders in inspecting the ongoing construction works at Enziu Bridge. He said the project, which has attracted significant public interest, is on course for completion under the leadership of President Dr. William Ruto, drawing enthusiastic chants of “Two Terms” from supporters who attended the event.
Muasya also revealed that Kitui County has received KSh 618 million through the Equalization Fund to support long-stalled development projects.

He noted that Mwingi Central Constituency alone has been allocated more than KSh 90 million, funds that will be used to revive and complete critical projects that have remained unfinished for years.
He emphasized that the national government’s commitment to equitable resource distribution is already bearing fruit, urging residents to support development-focused leadership that prioritizes service delivery.

The empowerment tour brought together several UDA leaders, including former Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza, Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna, Kitui South MP Hon. Rachel Kaki, Boniface Musambi, and other leaders, who reaffirmed their commitment to accelerating development across Kitui County.

The leaders called on residents to continue supporting government development initiatives, saying projects such as Enziu Bridge and the Equalization Fund investments will significantly transform livelihoods and unlock economic opportunities across the region.
