Machakos County is strengthening its position as a hub of trade and innovation under the leadership of Wavinya Ndeti, with a strong focus on empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
During a recent engagement with Jua Kali traders, Governor Ndeti reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to supporting local artisans and entrepreneurs who play a vital role in job creation and economic growth. Since taking office, her government has facilitated traders’ participation in regional trade expos across the East African Community, opening up new markets and opportunities.
These initiatives are already delivering results. Traders are recording higher incomes, improving product quality, and gaining recognition at regional platforms firmly placing Machakos on the map as a center of enterprise and innovation.
Governor Ndeti emphasized that her administration will continue to create a conducive business environment for all traders, in line with the county’s Chakula Mezani, Pesa Mfukoni vision aimed at improving livelihoods and ensuring economic empowerment for every household.
