Kitui South Member of Parliament Hon. Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai, CBS, has reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to transforming the education sector after officially commissioning two newly constructed classrooms at Kikwa Primary and Junior School in Ikanga/Kyatune Ward.
The commissioning ceremony, attended by parents, teachers, learners, local leaders, and members of the community, marked another significant milestone in the MP’s continued investment in quality education and improved learning infrastructure across Kitui South Constituency.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Dr. Kaki emphasized that education remains the cornerstone of sustainable development and urged parents and teachers to work together in nurturing disciplined, hardworking, and academically successful learners. She noted that strong collaboration between schools, families, and the community is essential in creating an environment where every child has an equal opportunity to excel.
The legislator reiterated that her development agenda places education at the center of constituency transformation, adding that the construction of modern classrooms is aimed at providing learners with a safe, comfortable, and conducive environment that enhances teaching and learning.
In a further demonstration of her dedication to improving learning institutions, Hon. Dr. Kaki donated KSh 200,000 towards the construction of the school’s perimeter fence. She said the fencing project will enhance the security of pupils and school property while creating a more organized and secure learning environment.
She assured residents that her office will continue prioritizing investments in educational infrastructure, supporting schools through development projects, and ensuring that learners across Kitui South access quality education in well-equipped institutions.
