Mutuse Disburses over Sh1.5 Million to Boda Boda Groups in Emali/Mulala Ward

Kibwezi West Member of Parliament Hon. Mwengi Mutuse has continued his grassroots empowerment initiatives, disbursing cheques worth Ksh 1,585,103 to 36 Boda Boda stage groups in Emali/Mulala Ward.

Speaking during a well-attended meeting held at Mwanyani Market , the MP noted that the funds were part of the Ksh 8.32 million raised for the Kibwezi West Boda Boda Empowerment Programme.

Mutuse emphasized that the initiative is aimed at supporting economic growth at the community level and ensuring that young people have access to opportunities that improve their livelihoods.

“We resolved to focus on development and empowerment for our people. These funds are a deliberate effort to uplift our boda boda sector, which plays a crucial role in our local economy,” he said.

The lawmaker also underscored the strong political support that residents of Emali/Mulala Ward continue to offer to President William Ruto and his administration. He said the local leadership and residents had reaffirmed their commitment to support the President and ensure he secures a second term when the time comes.

He further revealed that President Ruto is expected to visit Emali soon to officially launch the long-awaited tarmacking of the Emali–Ukia Road, terming the development as historic for the region.

“This project will transform our area by improving connectivity and opening up new economic opportunities. We thank the President for his commitment to the people of Kibwezi West,” Mutuse stated.

The MP concluded by expressing his gratitude to the boda boda operators and residents for their overwhelming support and continued cooperation.

“Asante sana Emali boda boda and the general public for your love,” he said.
