Thunderous celebrations, ululations and renewed political enthusiasm have marked Hon. CPA Nicholas Mulila’s growing influence in Athi Ward as he strengthens his grassroots support ahead of the August 2027 Kitui gubernatorial elections.
Mulila, widely associated with development initiatives and community empowerment, continues to win the hearts of residents through his commitment to improving livelihoods and supporting community-driven projects.
Among the notable initiatives attributed to his efforts in Athi Ward are the revival of Ndithini and Mitalani boreholes, renovation of Kamunyuni Primary School, construction of toilets at Maluma Secondary School, support for community harambees and various welfare empowerment programmes.
These interventions have strengthened his connection with ordinary residents, with many viewing his development-oriented approach as a sign of leadership that goes beyond political promises.
His growing grassroots influence, coupled with similar initiatives across Kitui County, is steadily positioning him as a formidable contender in the race for the county’s top seat.
For Nicholas Mulila, the message from Athi Ward is clear: the journey towards Kitui County’s leadership is gaining momentum.
