Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has commissioned the grading and murraming of the 11-kilometre Katulye–Makongeni Road in Masinga Central Ward, in a move aimed at improving rural connectivity and supporting economic activities.
The road connects Katulye Sub-location to neighbouring areas, easing movement of residents and transportation of agricultural produce. Its improvement is expected to enhance access to markets and provide better transport links for local communities.
Governor Wavinya said improved road infrastructure remains essential in opening up rural areas and supporting livelihoods. The project will particularly benefit vegetable farmers who rely on irrigation water from Masinga Dam, making it easier to transport their produce to markets and improve their economic opportunities.
