Kimanga Leads Leaders in Fundraiser for Families of Kitui West Road Accident Victims

The incoming Kitui West Member of Parliament, Hon. Generali Fredrick Kimanga, on Sunday led local leaders and residents in a harambee to support three families who lost their loved ones in a tragic road accident at Kabati Junction near the Chief’s Office in Kauwi Ward, Kitui West Sub-County, Kitui County.

Kimanga attended the fundraiser on behalf of the Kitui County Governor, Julius Malombe, who sent his message of condolences and solidarity to the bereaved families following the tragic incident that shocked the community.

The fundraiser was organized to assist the families of the late Mutunga Kitheka, Kioko Sammy, and Jacob Nzyoki, who perished in the accident.
Speaking during the event, Kimanga expressed deep sorrow over the loss and urged residents to stand together in supporting the affected families during the difficult moment. He said the tragedy had left a painful gap in the community and called for unity and compassion as the families mourn their loved ones.

He noted that Governor Malombe stands with the grieving families and the entire community during the painful period, adding that the county leadership remains committed to supporting residents in times of need.

Kimanga emphasized that leaders and residents had a responsibility to come together to support one another during moments of grief, saying the harambee demonstrated the spirit of unity and solidarity within the community.

He also called on motorists to exercise caution while using roads within the area to prevent similar accidents in the future, stressing that road safety should remain a priority for all road users.

The event was attended by several local leaders, including the area Member of County Assembly, Hon. Gabriel Munyao, who joined Kimanga in comforting the bereaved families and encouraging the community to continue offering both moral and financial support.

Residents who attended the harambee contributed generously to help the families with funeral arrangements and other immediate needs, demonstrating strong community support following the tragic loss.
