Kitui Governor Julius Malombe today hosted the Director of Public Prosecutions, Renson Ingonga, who paid him a courtesy call at his office in Kitui town.
The meeting focused on strengthening inter-agency collaboration, enhancing institutional cooperation, and deliberating on matters of mutual interest relating to security, public order, and the effective administration of justice within Kitui County.
Governor Malombe welcomed the Director of Public Prosecutions and commended his office for its continued efforts in upholding the rule of law across the country.
The Governor emphasized the importance of seamless cooperation between the County Government and national justice institutions, noting that effective service delivery thrives in an environment anchored on security, accountability, and respect for the law.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to working closely with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to ensure that justice is served fairly and expeditiously for the residents of Kitui. The Governor further underscored the need for sustained engagement among institutions to address emerging security challenges and safeguard public interest.
On his part, Mr. Ingonga highlighted the critical role of collaboration between county leadership and prosecutorial agencies in fostering public confidence in the justice system. He noted that institutional synergy was key to ensuring timely prosecution of cases and maintaining public order.
As part of his visit to the county, the Director of Public Prosecutions also paid courtesy calls to the Kitui High Court and the Office of the Kitui County Commissioner, where discussions similarly centered on strengthening cooperation within the justice and security sectors.
