Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. has signed two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) aimed at strengthening water service delivery and improving the quality of early childhood care, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to expanding access to essential services through strategic partnerships.The Governor renewed Makueni County’s partnership with Water Mission, an agreement that will enhance access to sustainable water solutions across the county. Under the renewed collaboration, Water Mission will support the county in strengthening the oversight of water utilities while promoting the sustainability of water projects to improve service delivery for residents.Governor Mutula said access to clean and reliable water remains a key priority for his administration, noting that collaboration with development partners is essential in delivering long term solutions that improve livelihoods and support sustainable development.In a separate agreement, Governor Mutula signed a partnership with Kidogo Early Years to enhance the quality of childcare in informal early learning centres across the county. The initiative will focus on training informal childcare providers and supporting the operationalisation of community based childcare centres that meet safe, quality, and sustainable standards.The programme is expected to improve access to quality early childhood care, giving young children a stronger foundation for learning, growth, and overall development.Governor Mutula said the two partnerships demonstrate his administration’s continued focus on working with development partners to improve service delivery and enhance the welfare of Makueni residents through impactful and sustainable programmes.ENDS///…
